IT is not every day you get to score for Newcastle United in a derby with Sunderland but Euan did.

One of his biggest achievements so far was to score the winner for the Magpies against the Black Cats in the last minute when the score was level at the Academy of Light.

After first kicking a ball and developing a love for football as a toddler, Euan started to play competitively for local junior team Greatham.

He has played for many clubs, while Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Darlington all showed an interest before starting to play for Darlington youth.

He took part in a prestigious European junior tournament in Coventry and faced the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Sporting Lisbon.

The direct centre-forward - who scored a ha-trick on his way to becoming top scorer in the Northern Education Trust Cup at Victoria Park in 2014 - also remembers playing at Leeds United’s Elland Road and scoring twice.

Trials at Leeds, Scunthorpe and Bradford have followed while he is also the Hartlepool Schools' long jump record holder.
