Year 9s too hot to handle in semi

A STUNNING second half saw Dyke House’s Year 9s take command and progress to the final of the Hartlepool Schools’ FA Cup with a 4-0 win.

Goals: Philip Angus

A STUNNING second half saw Dyke House’s Year 9s take command and progress to the final of the Hartlepool Schools’ FA Cup with a 4-0 win.

After a goalless first half, Dyke House coach Mr Whitehead changed things around tactically in a bid to alter the flow of a tight game. And it worked.

Dyke House played with greater attacking vibrancy and never looked back after Philip Angus hit the first inside seven minutes of the second half.

Danny Howe added a second with a neat volley at the back post from a great Connor Gales delivery.

St Hild’s got tired towards the later stages and Angus rounded things off to set up a date with Manor College of Technology in the final.
