THREE Dyke House College girls have smashed personal bests in the pool after competing for AquaForce.

Charley Groves, Tilley Jackson-Smith and Caitlyn Collins all made great progress with their times when they were in action at the Middlesbrough Gala in the Neptune Centre.

Charley’s performances included a NER qualifying time in the 100m backstroke when she finished third and a victory in the 200m individual medley.

She also finished second in the 50m butterfly and fourth in the 100m breaststroke.

Tilley recorded new best time in all of her four events. She finished seventh in the 100m backstroke, ninth in the 200m individual medley and 11th in both the 100m breaststroke and 50m butterfly.

Caitlyn set new PBs as she finished fifth in the 100m backstroke, seventh in the 50m freestyle and ninth in the 50m butterfly.

Coach Alison Middleton said: “It was a great day for the girls and we are looking forward to seeing them progress with AquaForce and Dyke House.”
