Regionals await confident rowers

FIFTEEN rowers from Dyke House College have displayed fantastic potential to reach the regional finals of a respected competition.

FIFTEEN rowers from Dyke House College have displayed fantastic potential to reach the regional finals of a respected competition.

Girls and boys aged from 11-17 at Dyke House showed their strength and endurance to progress from the Tees Valley School Games Open Indoor Rowing at Tees Rowing Club.

The Hartlepool college will have representatives in every age group after impressive displays across the board from the students following worthwhile strength and conditioning training with Shane Hassall.

Results:

Y7 girls - Isabelle Maiden 1st

Y7 boys - Jack Griggs 1st, Nathan Dixon 2nd

Y8 girls - Sarah Martin 3rd

Y8 boys - Kieran Wright 1st

Y9 girls - no entries

Y9 boys - Tom Oliver 1st

Y10 girls - Taylor Allen 1st, Ronny Hugill 2nd

Y10 boys - Aidan Jackson-Smith 1st

Y11 girls - Caitlyn Britton 1st

Y11 boys - Adam Dixon 1st, Jake Oates 3rd

Y12/13 girls - Shauna-Leigh Taylor

Y12/13 boys - Andrew Busby 1st, Adam Campbell 2nd 

All of the above have qualified for the regional competition on March 18.
