DYKE HOUSE College's Laura Longstaff is heading to the nationals next month.

Laura enjoyed a very successful weekend when she played goal shooter for Oaksway Under-14s - and got her hands on silverware too.

At Northumbria University they beat Seatonians 56-6 to become undefeated regional champions and qualify for the National Finals in May.

The finals will see the top 18 teams from across the country, who have all won or been runner-up in their respective regional league, compete over two days for the right to be the best in the country.

Laura then followed that fantastic day by training with the county England pathway and playing age groups above in the semi-final of the Teesside Under-16s league. They overcame Stockton 61-18 and Laura was player of the match.

Later that day Oaksway beat Durham in the final 57-6 with Laura playing goal shooter once again.

She has travelled on a trip to Paris with Dyke House College this week and when she returns she will build up her fitness in preparation for the National finals.
