DANCERS from Dyke House have really strutted their stuff to win big things already this year.

For the second year in a row the College’s hip-hop team won the Hartlepool Schools’ title after turning on a mesmerising show at the town’s Borough Hall.

Ruff Diamond’s Zac Healey choreographed the performance that wooed the judges for Dyke House to win the competition that they won 12 months ago.

The 15 dancers were on point from start to finish to clinch the title ahead of St Hild’s, English Martyrs, High Tunstall, Manor and Catcote.

Chloe Gardener, Lilly Stevens, Millie Andrews, Morgan Ervine, Millie Nicholson, Ellie Whitehead, Josh Egan, Ellie Burnham, Poppie Allen, Beth Young, Lucie Rowley, Lucy Fitzpatrick, Olivia Jackson, Erin Carroll, Jake Dawes and Yasmine Burnham formed Momentum Crew.

Dyke House’s Elite Dance coordinator Lisa Wilson said: “I’m incredibly proud of the Momentum Crew, they have worked so hard over the last six weeks to master the demanding choreography from Zac Healey.

“On the day the group were extremely nervous, however they went out and performed to the max to defend their title.”
