MIA STUART visited the gymnastics home of an Olympian and put on a performance to be proud of.

The Dyke House College student competed at the South Durham Gymnastics Club, the home of Team GB’s Amy Tinkler, in regional grades.

Stuart came first to become the Grade 2 regional champion against girls age 12 and over. She was one of the youngest in her group.

She was confident and secure on each of the rotations - vault, bars, beam and floor. The bar was a particular strength, scoring a high of 13, only losing marks on a step back when landing.

Everyone at her club, her coaches and parents are extremely proud of her achievement.
